I'm Sorry Ms. Jackson

Whoaaa finally. Just two months later that's all. After enough procrastination to put my usual self to shame I've finally compiled a little amateur video of my first trip to Jackson Hole in late March (the week before closing?!).

I was fortunate to live with another adventurous heart in Park City by the name of Matt and we both decided to make the 4.5 hour trek north to some of the hallowed ground of steep freeskiing, Jackson Hole...at the ungodly hour of 5am. We spent 3 days skiing some pretty amazing terrain and snow, and soaking up a local atmosphere that only Jackson, Wyoming can provide, chock-ful of music, hearty meals and people who are as crazy, if not crazier, about skiing as us.

The video isn't the highest quality, but I definitely think my editing is getting a little better. The overall goal of throwing this together though is to give you guys a peak at the journey I wish you could have joined us for!

Cheers Matt.

Monday Kuvver

this could be the biggest scandal in Monday Covers history. After getting this vid from two people in the span of a week, I have made the executive decision that based off of the 1. Awesomeness of this video and 2. Awesomeness of this song, I am going to grant it Monday Covers status. Now I know some may argue that this Pretty Lights remix of Pink Floyd's "Time" is NOT in fact a cover, but I counter that argument with the fact that Pretty Lights is an instrumental ensemble and therefore by reworking the instrumental aspects of the song rather than the lyrics like is commonly accepted as a cover, they ARE indeed covering the song.

That being said, the higher order has spoken and deemed it cover-worthy. Yeah, I'm the higher order.

March Madness Monday Covers (Alliteration aside..)

Well I was about to throw up my hands and claim Monday Cover defeat, but the great ones always find a way to persevere, and well, I persevered in a big way. What do Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer and Bob Marley have in common? Apparently they all sang "Redemption Song" as Bob Marley's original was covered in a pretty surreal cover by the Man in Black and the Clash's legendary frontman. Two icons covering another icon's greatest song? Yes please Monday Covers, yes please.

Anyways I'll keep this post short because I might have another one for you later today. Went to Jackson Hole this weekend, blew my mind, someday I'll be up to date on the vids but for now..TRUST ME. B EZ playas.

Not the first time a well-known artist has covered Mr. Marley, remember this little ditty by a Sr. Eric Clapton?
